The scope of works of this EPC project includes the following:
• A caisson breakwater protecting structure with a total length of approximately 950m, part of which will also be acting as a quay structure for the berthing of two vessels to provide loading / unloading of solid and liquid bulk.
• An access bridge (trestle) to the berthing structures with a total length of approximately 3.2km.
• An onshore ground access ramp to the bridge
• A floating Service quay, with two access footbridges.
• All the equipment necessary to ensure safe berthing and mooring for ships including bollards, fenders, ladders, mooring aid systems etc.
• All desilting, dredging and rock excavation works for an access channel and a turn-around basin.
• The supply and installation of aids to navigation
• The implementation of the various utility networks from the battery limits at the shoreline to the berths.
• The seawater intake and seawater supply structure with two submerged pipes laid approximately 200m north of the trestle, with an intake header located starting at approximate level -10mCD and a Pumping Station (Booster Well) near the shoreline.
