Project Description

In 1966 we undertook the execution of the complete renovation and expansion of the Port of Beirut.
The harbor's capacity was greatly increased to cope with the evergrowing need for more docking space and storage facilities. The project included an 800m extension
of the outer mole founded at 19m, construction of a leeward mole, construction of four 880m long quays in the harbor's first basin and six quays of 1,440m in the third basin, renovation and improvements in the old harbor, and, reclamation of 5 million cu.m of sand dredged and transported by sea.
