Marine & Infrastructure

Deepest excavation of the world (-62.5m foundation level).
World-class, real-time monitoring system of deformations, settlements, groundwater flow and stresses and strains within diaphragm wall sections.

The Deep Tunnel Storm Water System, one of Dubai's most ambitious infrastructure projects, aims at serving Dubai's growing residential and business communities, while dealing with increasing urbanization, rainfall and high levels of ground water. The system can handle 6.5 million m3 of water, equal to 2,600 olympic-sized swimming pools, draining 40% of the entire urban area of Dubai.

ARCHIRODON is contributing to this ground-breaking regional drainage system for both rainwater and groundwater by executing the Design & Build contract of the major terminal pump station (130,000 m3/hr.), one of the system's core elements, with its foundation at -62.5m.
