Abu Dhabi

Energy & Renewables

Das Island is an island in the Persian Gulf, part of the emirate of Abu Dhabi, and lies about 100 miles north-west off the mainland. The island, managed by ADGAS part of ADNOC and one of the largest processors of LNG in the Middle East, exports crude oil, LPG and LNG internationally.

ARCHIRODON, in a consortium, executed the Engineering, Procurement & Construction contract for Package 1 for the expansion of the existing Integrated Gas Development facility on the island with the ultimate goal to handle additional 245 MMSCFD LP associated gases. IGD1 transfers additional gas from Umm Shaif gas field to Habshan through Das Island, increasing the onshore sales gas supply.

The works included the reclamation and site preparation works for the new 42" IGD-E1 gas pipeline scraper launcher and interconnecting pipe racks, as well as the extension of the IGD jetty, the construction of low-level access road to scraper launcher area and reclamation works for the IGD-E2 (future gas plant expansion projects).
